- The picturesque lakes of the Harz mountains and the "Waldseebad" are natural pools for swimming in the summer time

- In winter time the Martinshof is your starting point for skiing tours and downhill skiing as well as sled rides. If conditions are frosty you can also go ice skating on the small pont in the middle of Hahnenklee.

- The skiing tracks of the Bocksberg mountain provide artifical snow and you can eventually go skiing also when wheather conditions are not ideal.
